They are manufactured with conical or flat bottoms and are also equipped with hatches. To increase the rigidity, the tank walls are reinforced with support and intermediate stiffening rings. The bottom can be flat (with or without stiffening ribs) or conical. Additional stiffening rings provide protection during transportation, installation, and also counteract vacuum and wind loads. The recommended minimum wall thickness of the tank is 4 mm.
